Abigail Wozniak is Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Notre Dame, working in the field of labor economics. Her research has examined migration between states and cities as well as employer compensation and screening policies. From June 2014 to July 2015, she served as Senior Economist for Labor at the White House Council of Economic Advisers. Professor Wozniak currently holds affiliations with the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) and the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA) in Bonn, Germany. Her past positions include Visiting Fellow at Princeton University and Associate Economist at the Chicago Federal Reserve. She is a Wisconsin native and holds degrees from Harvard University (PhD) and the University of Chicago (AB). Professor Wozniak's work has been featured in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Businessweek, Slate, and other outlets.
