Dasha Safonova joined the Ph.D. program in 2012 after receiving a B.S.B.A. from Old Dominion University. Dasha's research interests are financial intermediation, monetary policy, and macroprudential regulation. Her overall research agenda is to develop a theoretical framework in which she can examine general equilibrium effects of policies that target financial institutions. In her current work, Dasha analyzes interbank lending market through the lens of network theory, aiming to evaluate how developments in this market affect the overall economy.
