Sara Esfahani holds a BS in Theoretical Economics from Allameh Tabatabai University of Tehran and a MA in Economics from Bowling Green State University. Before coming to Notre Dame, she worked as a financial analyst and time-series specialist at Huntington National Bank in Columbus, Ohio. She came back to school to pursue her life-time goal and work on her PhD in Economics at University of Notre Dame in fall 2013. Her fields of interest are macroeconomics, development and growth, and trade. In particular structural transformation, resource misallocation and productivity.
