Grace Ortuzar grew up in Santiago, Chile and Carmel, Indiana. Before joining the Ph.D. program at Notre Dame, she worked as a research associate at the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities at the University of Notre Dame. In that role, she managed several large-scale randomized controlled trials in the areas of homelessness prevention and education. Prior to LEO, Grace gained experience in the non-profit sector developing programs for microentrepreneurs in Chile and worked for two years as a Research Analyst at RTI International in Boston. Grace graduated from Indiana University in the spring of 2014 with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science and a minor in mathematics.
