There are many resources available at Notre Dame to support undergraduate research. Resources that are frequently used by economics and international economics students are listed below. For help finding research support, please contact an advisor.
Stata is a statistical software that is commonly used in economics research. It is available for free on campus in Notre Dame computer labs. The economics department provides Stata purchasing support for students with financial need who wish to download Stata on their personal devices. Further details will be shared in relevant courses.
The Franco Family Institute offers a variety of funding opportunities for undergraduate students pursuing independent research. Funds are available for summer pay, research materials and software, and conference travel.
The Kellogg and Kroc Institutes offer summer research funding of up to $6,000 for juniors working on independent research projects related to Africa, Asia, or Latin America.
