Alex Houtz is originally from Great Falls, Montana. He earned an undergraduate degree with highest honors in Economics from Montana State University. At Montana State, he researched the impacts of NAFTA on employment in the United States. His current research interests include heterogeneity in the macroeconomy, monetary and fiscal policy, the determinants of inflation, and some areas of macrofinance.
