Elizabeth Munnich

Associate Professor of Economics, University of Louisville

Elizabeth (Beth) Munnich is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Louisville. Her research interests include the efficacy of healthcare provision, the healthcare workforce, and the effects of family structure on child outcomes. She has extensive experience conducting economic analyses with large health and economic data sets. Munnich has published papers in peer-reviewed journals, including The Journal of Health Economics, The Journal of Human Resources, and Health Affairs. She has presented her research at numerous conferences and seminars. She teaches undergraduate and MBA-level courses in microeconomics, statistics, and health economics at the University of Louisville and has previously taught Statistics for Economics at Notre Dame. Munnich also serves as a faculty scholar at the Commonwealth Institute of Kentucky and a faculty affiliate at the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities. Munnich holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in Economics from Notre Dame, a Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago, and a B.A. in Urban Studies from Vassar College.
