Joseph P. Kaboski

Biography

Joseph P. Kaboski is the David F. and Erin M. Seng Foundation Professor of Economics at the University of Notre Dame and a Fellow of the Kellogg Institute. His research focuses on growth, development, and international economics. He has published scholarly articles in many journals, and, in 2012, he was awarded the prestigious Frisch Medal, given biannually for the best paper in Econometrica over the previous five years, for his work on microfinance. He is the Director of the BIG Lab, co-academic lead of STEG research programme, Research Associate of the NBER, and Board Member of BREAD. He has consulted for the Federal Reserve system; the World Bank; the International Monetary Fund; and the Central Bank of Armenia. He engages the Catholic Church as president of CREDO, a past consultant to Catholic Relief Services, and a current Consultant to the USCCB, Committee on Domestic Justice and Human Development. Kaboski received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2001.
