Seminars
The Department hosts regular seminar series that meet over the course of the academic year. These seminars bring to campus leading scholars from top universities and research institutes from around the world to present their work and interact with faculty and graduate students. A generous benefaction from the Mullen Family Visiting Scholars endowment for excellence supports our seminars.
Unless otherwise noted, the regular seminar series meet in 3060F Jenkins-Nanovic Hall on the days and times listed below:
- Macroeconomics: Mondays, 3:30 pm
- Theory: Mondays, 2 pm
- Applied Microeconomics: Tuesdays, 3:30 pm
- Development: Wednesdays, 12:30 pm
- International: Thursdays, 11 am
- Econometrics: Thursdays, 3:30 pm
The Department also frequently hosts mini-conferences on particular topics, which bring together three to five outside speakers for a day of presentations and collaborations.
