Concentrations
Economics and international economics majors may choose to specialize their studies by applying for one of two concentrations: the Concentration in Financial Economics and Econometrics (CFEE) or the Evidence-Based Poverty Alleviation Concentration (EBPAC). Applications typically occur during sophomore year.
Concentrations are selective programs that allow you to dive deep into their primary area of interest. Admitted students complete core courses on the economic theory and quantitative tools of their chosen discipline, as well as elective courses related to their area of focus. You will also build their professional networks by engaging with external researchers and practitioners. Both concentrations provide you with strong quantitative and analytical skills that translate well to a variety of professional settings and to graduate work in economics.
